This passion started as a caddie at Wellesley (MA) Country Club at age 10. “Bobbo” (as his Odana Golf Course buddies called him) had a passion for golf. After he retired, he was a driver for Madison Taxi which gave him opportunities for many interesting conversations. In 2014, Bob and Barb traveled to Hue, Vietnam (city near his original base camp) for an emotional tour of the area.įor many years, Bob owned Sight & Sound Productions and provided his clients with video memories of weddings and receptions. His job duty was meteorological observer. Later the call came for service in Vietnam, where he was assigned to a base camp in Phu Bai. His first assignment was to manage the Army’s golf course at White Sands Missile Range, New Mexico. However, Bob’s college education was interrupted by the Vietnam War. He continued his education at University of Arizona-Tucson where he majored in meteorology, an interest that he followed for the rest of his life through Midwest tornadoes, Florida hurricanes and 2017 solar eclipse in western U.S. Survivors also include several nieces and nephews and their families.īob attended Needham, MA High School where he was on the golf team and graduated in 1960. Bob is further survived by his brother, Charles Croucher, Land O'Lakes, FL and his sisters, Dorothy Lambert, Needham, MA, and Merilyn Brunton, Portland, ME. He was united in marriage to Barbara Sveum of Stoughton on January 4, 1977, in Madison. He always took pride in his New England roots, especially being a lifelong fan of the Boston Red Sox. He was a descendant of Stephen Hopkins, a passenger on the Mayflower.
